We hardly share our SWT anniversary and understand that 9 is not a particularly flashy number. However, as we countdown to 10 years, we want to celebrate what is…right now.
On one hand, together we have been able to build and grow this incredible community who unites under the shared values that not only do we matter, but we are inherently worthy of having the resources we need to thrive.
On the other hand, we are still deeply curious about what’s possible for the beautiful communities we are a part of and how we can best position this organization to support the mission that lies ahead of us. And for the last 6 months, we have put most of our efforts in positioning for the future.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Completing an enhanced data framework with DataKind and building out our own Data Advisory Committee, who will build upon this process to ensure SWT is both a quantitative and qualitative data-informed organization.
Interrogating all programs and systems to see where our efforts should be prioritized
Cultivating deep learning spaces with current and potential supporters to ensure SWT is truly a financially sustainable organization that our community can depend on for years to come
Bringing in incredible thought partners to make time and space to reimagine our organization and its role in our communities.
That said, an epic year is underway.
